Job Description:

Our client , a downtown investment management firm requires a Mortgage Administrator to join their team. Duties of this role will include dealing with commercial real estate transactions which may include acquisitions, sales, financing, due diligence and title matters. The primary focus of this role is to provide high level administrative support to the underwriting and origination departments. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently or as part of team with little supervision; have high attention to detail and superior organizational skills; excellent communication skills both written & verbal; and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced and high volume environment.


  • Create and edit documents
  • Prepare final reports of property transactions to clients and financial institutions
  • Assist underwriters with documentation
  • Open new files as needed
  • Balance expense and billing reports
  • Assist with the closing of files
  • Liaise with mortgage administration department, borrower’s solicitors and our finance department regarding legal documents ensuring all are completed
  • Ensure due diligence of company policies including anti-money laundering documentation
  • General administrative duties as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients both over the phone and via email


  • 5 years’ minimum experience working in a fast-passed office environment preferably working with commercial real estate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Outgoing with the ability to interact with all levels in organization
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, reliable and a self-starter
  • Excellent in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team oriented with a flexible, adaptable, proactive work style
