Job Description:

Our client, a value-oriented investment counseling firm located in Toronto requires an Investment Operations Analyst to join their team.


  • Daily reconciliation of FGP Pooled Fund cash and security positions
  • Preparation of Fund unitholder recordkeeping report
  • FGP Pooled Fund NAV reconciliation report
  • Client tax summary reports (T3 estimates)
  • Posting of income distribution withdrawals from FGP Pooled Funds
  • Monthly upload of client holdings and performance data to the CRM system
  • Prepare quarterly FGP Pooled Fund holdings booklet
  • Work with portfolio managers to vote proxies
  • Initiate and manage projects to improve and streamline processes and maximize efficiencies with the use of available technology
  • As a small company, it is key that the individual becomes trained on all aspects within their respective business unit


In addition to daily and monthly responsibilities, the candidate will provide secondary support to the following two roles:

Trade Settlements:

  • Communication with brokers and custodians on settlements processing of Equity and
  • Fixed Income trades
  • Process and post FX instructions
  • Reconcile and troubleshoot settlements issues

Pooled Fund Trading:

  • Post pooled fund subscriptions and redemptions in portfolio management system
  • Input of client withdrawals and deposit requests
  • Reconcile and post trades from FundServ system




  • Minimum five years of financial services industry experience
  • University or College Graduate preferred
  • Advanced Excel experience (macros, lookups, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with portfolio management tools would be beneficial
