Job Description:

Our client, an event productions company requires a Director or Production to join their their team.This is a hands-on role, leading and managing the production team through the execution of a wide variety of corporate events, and the required production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Executive Producer and CEO, managing internal teams while collaborating with clients and vendor partners to create and execute high impact virtual events
  • Lead production meetings and trouble-shoot potential scheduling and technical issues and ensuring positive outcomes
  • Work with the Operations team on resourcing and planning for a variety of suppliers including 3rd party Audio-Visual, technical and creative partners to negotiate pricing and establish solutions and timelines
  • Work closely with the creative and on-site production teams to ensure effective leadership of flawless live events, on budget and within identified timelines
  • Develop solutions on behalf of our client needs into innovative virtual/digital production applications, ensuring that solutions are on target, on budget and support strategic communication principles
  • Ensure an innovative and strategic approach to applying mobile, virtual, and media applications within live event or broadcast environments, while always pushing hard to exceed our client’s expectations
  • Recommend best practices for production workflows and technologies, staying at the forefront of new technology and platforms
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends on an as required basis while events are taking place

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of event production experience, has a solid and strong understanding of how to produce an inspiring and successful event. Starting with the inception of an idea and knowing the steps to design, supervise building the project fees (budgets), gather the team and manage the project to completion.
  • 10+ years managing a team/multiple teams with an inclusive and supportive nature
  • 10+ years of technical experience – working in partnership with technical companies (AV Vendors, union facilities, broadcast facilities, etc.) and understanding how to use the technology and equipment they offer to produce a show
  • 5+ years broadcast/Ddgital Experience understanding the studio environment, the roles required to produce a digital/broadcast event; responsibility for producing broadcast or digital programming
  • Strong knowledge of PPT, Keynote presentation builds
  • Strong mathematic skills for budget building and reconciliation along with a thorough understanding and working knowledge of excel
  • Stage Management experience is an asset. To understand how to call a show helps to understand fully how and why a show is built in a certain way
  • Knowledge and Experience in creative development (brand identity, logo and theme, messaging, animations, PPT & keynote presentations)
  • Presenter/Speaker coaching experience is an asset
  • Strong writing and communication skills – including proposal and conceptual idea writing
  • Client/Relationship Management – ease with building and managing client relationships
    speaking to clients and presenting ideas
  • University or College Degree –in Broadcast/Film, Radio/Television/Arts or Theatre Production or 5-10+ years work experience in these fields
  • Mentorship and Training – ability to train and develop team players within an organization to grow and develop skills
