Job Description:

Our client, a boutique investment firm downtown requires a Data Analyst to join their team. As a member of the Information Technology team, you will work to understand the data that drives the business. The Data Analyst role takes responsibility to understand the value of data and using it to provide better insights and business strategy. You will be an integral part of the company’s success to enable internal teams and external partners increase efficient and secure storage, organization, integration, and analysis of data. This includes ownership of internal and external data sources and a leading role in designing new solutions.


  • Communicate insights, analysis, and recommendations clearly and accurately to stakeholders with a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with data providers, internal teams, external partners to create solutions which will directly affect the company’s capabilities and growth
  • Help our teams explore, analyze, and understand their data
  • Build data infrastructure capabilities and grow our abilities to store, combine and analyze data
  • Responsible for analyzing and improving data quality and data integrity in our data warehouses
  • Improve data visibility by building dashboards, reports, and charts to inform strategy, and capture market and user insights
  • Work directly with business groups to identify, define, and document requirements for projects
  • Provide guidance and assistance to business groups on their projects with data analysis
  • Maintain and support multiple projects, working with the technology teams, project managers, business groups
  • Document data definitions, metrics, data structures, and business processes for projects and initiatives
  • Mentor business users on using the data warehouses effectively
  • Participate in defining data warehouses and data governance principles
  • Provide occasional support for reports and processes after hours and weekends
  • Storage, access, distribution and use of data will be performed, planned and designed using security best practices


  • Computer science degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success and continuous progression in your technology career
  • Up to 5 years experience working with technology teams and designing solutions
  • Proven experience working with MS365, Azure, SQL and other query languages
  • Experience in the design, build and management of cloud-based data warehouses and applications
  • Experience working with a good toolset of data mining software
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Experience in developing presentations and communications to be shared internally and externally
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of data solutions using best security practices and management
