Job Description:

Our client is a Yorkville-based investment counselling firm which manages discretionary investment portfolios on behalf of families and organizations. They are seeking a Client Service Associate to join their team.  This role is an important point of contact for clients, effective in helping to answer many of their questions and providing assistance and support in person, by phone and written correspondence for account-related needs.

 

The successful candidate is cool under pressure.  Always with a calm, friendly, and helpful demeanour, you excel at multi-tasking to ensure that all office administrative tasks are successfully handled, and that colleagues, clients, and external suppliers feel well-taken care of.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and processing new client applications, account transfers and other account-related paperwork
  • Following up with clients regarding various administrative client account queries
  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of sales and marketing materials
  • Providing support for new account set-up and populating & maintaining various client and client prospect databases
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of quarterly client statements and other periodic client communications/mailings
  • Communicating with other staff members regarding client account activities
  • Design and refreshes of the Company website
  • Reception
  • Assisting with various office-related administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies and liaising with various suppliers, etc.

Qualifications:

Possessing a University degree and superior skills in critical thinking, written and verbal communications, social media and the web, numerical literacy and a sterling character, you have at least one to three years of work experience in a financial services firm, where you have worked with and delighted external clients and demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple tasks and delivering high volumes of accurate work quickly and smoothly.

 

Other

Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or a relevant post-graduate diploma in marketing or accounting are considered assets.
