Job Description:

Our client, a private wealth management firm located in Thornhill requires a Client Associate to join their team. The candidate needed is a self-starter with the drive to succeed and impress. This person is intelligent, has excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and is detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting preparation – including, but not limited to, internal Rates of Return, updating TeamDesk, running statements, researching and preparation of clients’ agendas
  • Schedule and confirm meetings by phone and email daily
  • Request and review reports (Daily Order Entry, Daily Trade Blotters, cash balance etc.)
  • Reconcile bank deposits
  • Prepare client paperwork as required
  • Answering all client service issues by phone, email and/or in-person
  • Meet and sign-up prospects who are becoming new clients
  • Maintain high service standards according to compliance regulations
  • Execute trades (mutual funds, stocks, ETFs, bonds, etc.)
  • Rebalancing portfolios to target asset allocations
  • New account documentation and set up
  • Transfer reconciliations
  • Frequently assigned to changing priorities
  • Seasonal/special projects as they come up

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years
  • University degree or College diploma
  • Financial related degree/education would be beneficial
  • Fully IIROC licensed is required
  • Knowledge of industry back-office practices
  • Smart and trainable
  • Customer service skills
  • PC proficient (Ie. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Math skills
  • Punctual, meticulous, and reliable
