Job Description:

  • Processing of cash receipts
  • Processing of claims-related funding
    Processing of pre-authorized debits (PADs)
  • Accounts receivable collections
  • Preparation of and follow up to collection action reports
  • Aging report for past due and year end
  • Processing of trade payables
  • Processing of claim related payments
  • Processing of supplier (carrier) payables
  • Client money reconciliations
  • Recording financial transactions (general ledger/journal entries)
  • Preparation of accounting estimates, accruals, etc.
  • Account reconciliations
  • Monthly and year-end financial reporting
  • Preparation/reporting of monthly financial/production metrics
  • Annual budgeting activities
  • Other accounting/operations tasks as required


  • Must be able to write, read and speak fluently in French and English (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 2+ years accounting work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel in particular
  • Ability to work independently yet team-oriented
  • Ability to work accurately yet efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working toward CPA designation preferred
  • Working knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS preferred
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • TPA and claims handling experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of policy management systems preferred
