Job Description:

Our client, a leading clothing retailer with a head office based in Toronto has an exciting and challenging opportunity exists as a Payroll Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with provincial and federal regulations
  • Producing and reconciling summary reports for all payrolls
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date payroll documentation for all employees.
  • Preparing and distributing employee records of employment (ROE) within mandated timelines
  • Responding to government agencies
  • Responding to employee payroll & benefit inquiries and adhering to the department and X customer service level expectations
  • Other payroll duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years in preparing Payroll
  • Working knowledge and experience of Workday Payroll
  • CPA Certificate
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Effective time management skills
