| POSITION: Reconciliations Analyst |

| The Reconciliations Analyst performs key functions in ensuring accurate reporting of the client's financial results for Canadian GAAP/IFRS. The associate understands banking, securities and other financial transactions and trade settlements. The associate can understand and work with complex transactions. The associate will also interact with other departments or service providers, where necessary to investigate and resolve issues.
Responsibilities: Understand the source, process and rationale for all entries booked to the general ledger Independently analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely identification and resolution of issues Identify and initiate process improvements to reduce manual effort and maintain accuracy and controls. Liaise with staff in other departments and externally to investigate and resolve issues and to design and implement improvements Continuously review and update reconciliation procedures Qualifications: At least 3 years experience in a Middle Office or Reconciliations role in an Investment Banking environment; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to work in a very detailed and meticulous manner; Proficient in the use of Excel; Good communication skills; Capacity to deal with front/middle office |
